Flipship Galactic HQ

Congratulations cadet! You have been tasked by Flipship Galactic to warp into deep space and destroy the enemies of your fleet! Each enemy you destroy will fill up your "Flip Meter." When it is full, deploy Flipship Galactic's greatest invention, the Flip Drive! Use it to enter a mirror dimension where taking damage will fill up your energy gauge. Back in the normal dimension, you can then use this energy to either repair your ship, or unleash a deadly shockwave on your enemies.

This is a rare opportunity cadet, do not disappoint us.

The chief engineer has attached the control manual of your Flipship below. 

Keyboard & Mouse: 

• Primary Cannon Fire: Left Mouse Button (LMB)
• Activate Flip Drive: Q key
• Energy heal/repair: F key
• Energy shockwave: G key

X-BOX Controller:

• Primary Cannon Fire: Right Trigger (R2)
  
• Activate Flip Drive: Left shoulder (L1)
• Energy heal/repair: A button 
• Energy shockwave: Left Trigger (L2)

Citations:

• This game was built using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, using mostly their Blueprints system and some C++ scripting.
• The 3D models for the enemy and player ships in addition the planet were under creative commons and obtained from https://craftpix.net/freebies/free-spaceship-3d-low-poly-models-pack/. 
• Epic Games' Starter Content within Unreal Engine was used to provide minor VFX and sound cues.
• The space skyboxes were created by me using an open source software called Spacescape. 
• The music and sound effects were sourced from OpenGameArt, https://opengameart.org/content/chiploop 
• The shockwave VFX was created by me in Unreal Engine's Niagara System
